Bringing Together Again
Curatorial Project, Charpente des fauve, Québec, Canada, 2026
A hybrid format, part exhibition and part space for research and exchange, Bringing Together Again presents the creative process of the participating artists—Valérie Cain Bourget, Geneviève Chevalier, Charles Hurtubise, Angela Marsh, Stésy McInnis-Rail, and Sonia Plourde —through research materials, artworks, and discussions. They examined the case of the Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec and its encounter with the living world in the Champs-de-Bataille park. Each exploring in their own way the issue of the ecological transition of spaces dedicated to art and heritage, the artists raise various questions through their respective processes of investigation and creation. A roundtable brought them together on April 10 at 2 p.m. with two university researchers focusing respectively on urban brownfield sites (Estelle Granbois-Bernard, CELAT-UQAM) and the capacity of cultural organizations to transform themselves (Aude Porcedda, UQTR).
